Bruno Damásio holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics, a Master in Econometrics and a Degree in Economics from the University of Lisbon. His research interests are nonlinear econometrics, multivariate Markov chains, stochastic processes, financial econometrics, nonlinear time-series, applied economics, and the statistical packages R and Stata. His work has been published in several distinguished journals. Additionally, he is a lecturer of statistics and econometrics courses at NOVA IMS (Information Management School, Nova University of Lisbon) and ISEG (Lisbon School of Economics and Management, University of Lisbon). He is serving as statistical consultant and trainer for numerous private and public organisations including the OECD, the European Commission, and the European Court of Auditors.

Flávio Pinheiro is an Invited Assistant Professor in Data Science at NOVA IMS (Universidade Nova de Lisboa - Information Management School), having previously been a postdoctoral associate at the Collective Learning group in the MIT Media Lab. His research combines theoretical (computer simulations and mathematical modelling of multi-agent systems) and empirical (data extraction and data analysis) approaches to understand the impact of the network structure of socio-economic systems in their functioning. In particular, his research focuses on: understanding how networks affect the dynamical processes underlying the spreading of information, diseases, opinions and behaviours. Fernando Casimiro is an independent statistical consultant with experience of working across multiple domains to help build statistical capacity in developing countries around the world. Previously, Mr. Casimiro held a number of prominent post at INE, the National Statistical Office of Portugal. As a freelancer, Mr. Casimiro has spent a number of years in Angola, working on the planning and assessment of an action plan for the development of statistics. Whilst at INE, Mr.Casimiro was Director and National Coordinator of the Population and Housing Censuses Office. Mr. Casimiro has represented Portugal at several international conferences, working groups and task forces on subjects concerning social and demographic statistics, including the Task Force for the preparation of framework regulation and implementing regulations for the 2011 Census Round within the European Union countries. He has authored and co-authored several papers concerning statistical issues, mainly on population and housing censuses, published by scientific reviews and associated meetings.

Daniel Santos is a leading specialist in Official Statistics, having worked in several senior positions at Statistical Portugal. After graduating in Economics from the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão, Universidade Técnica de Lisboa, Mr. Santos has led work on various key initiatives, including: Input-Output Tables compilation in the Portuguese National Accounts System, methodological support to NA teamwork; compilation of Goods and Services balances; and implementation of the Portuguese National Accounts System.
